Overview

Use your task queue to decide what to work on next and follow up with the person’s history in view. Tasks keep the draft or instructions with the person, so you can review earlier outreach before sending an email, making a call, or completing an action item.

Organize your queue

Open Tasks and select To do. Administrators can use the assignee filter to focus on their own or a teammate’s work. Add filters for the tasks you want to handle together, such as overdue tasks, a particular sequence, or people in a list. Use Display options to group tasks by priority, assignee, or sequence, choose a sort order, and show the columns you need. For example, group by priority and sort by due date to see the oldest high-priority work first.

Save a view

Save combinations you use regularly, such as a call queue or an account preparation queue. Views are personal and retain your filters, grouping, sorting, and column choices.
1

Arrange the queue

Set the filters and display options you want to reuse.
2

Create the view

Open the view selector above the table and choose Create new view. Enter a name and click Create view. The saved view appears in the selector. Switch views there when you move to a different kind of work.
After changing a view, click Save to retain the changes or Reset to return to its saved configuration.

Work on a task

Open a task’s row to see its instructions in the person’s engagement panel. Review the person’s details, earlier messages, and any sequence context before taking action.

Action items

Follow the task’s instructions, such as reviewing an account’s history or preparing questions for a meeting. When finished, click the checkmark to complete the task. You can also right-click its row and choose Mark as complete. The task leaves To do and appears in Done, where you can review when it was actioned.

Emails and replies

For a manual email, review the sending mailbox, recipient, subject, and draft before sending. For a reply task, read the incoming message and conversation before composing your response. See Sequence replies for reply classifications and how responses affect ongoing outreach. When a sequence email is queued to send, delivery follows the sequence’s send schedule and sending limits. Review the person’s engagement history to follow its progress.

Phone calls

Read the call instructions and review the person’s phone number before calling. The dialer lets you place the call from Unify. Record the outcome and complete the task after you have handled the call.

Skip a task

Skip a task when the action is no longer needed. Use the skip icon on the task or right-click its row and choose Skip. The task moves to Done with a skipped outcome. Skipping cannot be undone. For a sequence task, both completion and skipping let an active enrollment advance. If you want to end that person’s remaining outreach in the sequence, use Remove from sequence. Before skipping a manual email, consider later messages in the same thread. They may refer to information in the skipped email. Unify warns when later email steps remain in that thread. Your administrator controls which sequence task types can be skipped in task settings.

If a task cannot be completed

You can update and complete tasks assigned to you. Administrators can manage other users’ tasks and reassign them. Ask an administrator to change the assignee if the task belongs in your queue.
Open Explain in the person’s engagement panel to review the applicable restriction. An administrator may need to review ownership or the engagement policy before you can continue the sequence task.
Finished tasks remain in Done for reference. Create a new task if you need another follow-up.
